Tickets and booking

Before you buy
- Price. Included in the Yuntai ticket (CNY 120 + CNY 60 shuttle). Cable car CNY 120 return.
- Booking. The cable car closes at 17:30 and the last shuttle out of the park is 18:30 — people misjudge this and end up walking down in the dark. Start the ascent by 14:00 at the latest.
- Payment. Most Chinese sights take WeChat Pay or Alipay only. Cash works at staffed windows but not at self-service machines; a licensed guide can pay on your behalf and settle with you at the end of the day.
Getting there and when to go
Shuttle to the Zhuyu Peak cable car station inside the park, then 15 minutes up. Walking up takes 2.5 hours of continuous steps.
06:30–18:00. Last cable car down 17:30.. The first hour after opening is the quietest — tour groups arrive around 09:30. Late afternoon gives better light but the main viewpoints start clearing people out, so shoot early if that is your priority.
Public transport reaches Zhuyu Peak, but connections and waiting times add up. With luggage, older travellers, or two sights in one day, a car and driver removes the guesswork.
